A supporter of the Green New Deal, the climate action bill that House Democrats introduced in February, the congressman also tackled a question from an Iowa State senior regarding his stance on climate change, to which Swalwell said it would be “a global issue.”

“I would go (around the world) and look in the eyes of the world leaders and say we want to be back at the table of the Paris Accord, and that we would love to be the host of the next (United Nations Climate Summit).”
