Sen. Ed Markey to campaign for Massachusetts colleague Elizabeth Warren in NH

7/25/19

Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey will head to New Hampshire as a surrogate for his Bay State colleague, presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, on Sunday.

Markey, a former 37-year member of the U.S. House who became a senator in 2013, is known for his work on climate change. He will join a community conversation on what the Warren campaign called “the climate crisis” in Hollis at the home of activist Tom Harris, a 2018 candidate for the New Hampshire House.

“From scorching heat waves to massive blackouts in major cities, the effects of climate change are visible all around us. I support Elizabeth because she knows that climate change is a crisis, and she has plans to confront it,” Harris said.
