Tom Steyer on why climate crisis demands urgent action, especially in Nevada

Last year, my home state of California burned. Wildfires scorched more than 250,000 acres. The year before, warming waters supercharged hurricanes Maria, Irma and Harvey, leveling parts of Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. The year before that, the U.S. had more floods than any year on record.

The devastation of our climate crisis is here and now. It’s destroying homes, poisoning our air and taking lives. It’s an emergency. It’s about time we started acting like it. Continued »
