Buttigieg on climate change

In a manner that brought to mind FDR’s “Four Freedoms,” the young mayor stressed three main points: “freedom, security and democracy.” He said these principles “are simple enough to fit on a bumper sticker.”

He was particularly effective in the security segment, and in audaciously including “climate security” in the mix:

“Our economy is on the line. Our future is on the line. Lives are on the line. So let’s call this what it is, ‘climate security,’ a life-and-death issue for our generation.”
