Steyer in Iowa

Steyer spoke at length about his signature policy issue climate change. He told the crowd he’s, “the only person in this race who said I’d make climate my number one priority and there’s a reason that I’d declare a state of emergency on day one and use the emergency powers of the presidency,” Steyer continued, “Because all those plans that people are talking about require passage through the Congress of the United States and the Senate of the United States. And frankly, they’re on a different time schedule than mother nature.”
