‪The climate crisis is the symptom of a deeper malfunction on the part of the human race: our lack of reverence for nature, and a failure to recognize our moral responsibility to steward well the earth God gave us. Atoning in our hearts for the profound irresponsibility of allowing the extraction of profit to override the needs of Mother Earth, something will change in us. We will feel compelled to rise to the occasion‬. And we will do what needs to be done. Fascinating how the children are leading the way. Later this month will be Climate Week, harnessing the attention of all the world. I will be speaking at the Georgetown presidential forum on September 19. My presidency will not only represent the kind of actions that are necessary – New Green Deal and so forth. It will not only mean the transformation of the EPA, carbon sequestration, reforestation, economic and technological changes and so forth. We also need a spiritual awakening to the miracle of nature, a rebalancing of our relationship to earth, and a humble realization that the most powerful nation in the world has a responsibility to take the lead in reversing climate change, not standing in the way as has been the case for the last two years. All that will stop on January 20, 2021. We’re going to end an aberrational chapter of American history and we’re going to begin a new one. Taking the lead in climate change reversal will be foremost on our national agenda. Americans are hardwired for great endeavors and this will be one. The children who helped awaken us will one day be proud. 💖
