Booker on climate change

Climate change is a challenge to the moral imagination of this nation. We have all the power to transform our environment. What’s lacking is will. It’s not a matter of can we, it’s do we have the collective will.

And so this is our moral moment, not the civil rights movement, it’s not World War II, it’s not the suffrage movement. This is our moral moment, and the species depends on it. So I will be a leader with ambitious plans. Yeah, we are here because of bold, defiant dreamers in the past. I’m going to be just like that, but I’m going to bring creativity to the office every day, to get things done people say can’t be done and to build the coalitions to make it possible. More »
